Beijing (Nov 18, 2016) – Goldwind International Holdings (HK) Ltd., a subsidiary of Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology Co., Ltd. (Shenzhen Stock Exchange: 002202, the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited: 2208), will deliver its GW121/2500kW turbine to a project in Chile, after winning a 80MW contract from Pacific Hydro.
Goldwind will deliver the 80MW turbines to Punta Sierra project in Coquimbo, northern Chile. The project is expected to come online in 2017.
This is also the first overseas wind project of State Power Investment Corporation following the acquisition of Pacific Hydro.
As Goldwind’s second project in Chile, it emphasizes its long-term commitment on the Chilean wind market. Previously, Goldwind supplied project Negrete, consisting of 23 GW87/1500kW turbines located in Bío-Bío, southern Chile. The two projects are contributing renewable energy target set by the Chilean government.
